Léa Dussarrat is a french bassoonist, living in Offenbach/Main.After first professional studies at Paris with Fanny Maselli she decided to move to Germany. 2013 she continues her studies at the University of Music «Franz Liszt» in Weimar, being taught by Prof.Frank Forst. For her Masters she moves to Frankfurt to studie with Prof. Henrik Rabien. In 2019 Léareceives her artistic Masters diploma and finishes her studies successfully.Whilst playing concerts as a freelance musician the pedagogy and music education are becoming increasingly important to Léa.
Especially dealing with children is dear to her heart, which is why she decided to continue her own education and professionalize in music pedagogy. Since 2019 she is matriculated for a second Masters at HfMDK Frankfurt in order to pursue this further special interest. In the course of this she developped a musical theatre play for children, is interested in up-to-date teaching concepts and extends her knowledge about early music education.Next to her general love for her instrument and the classical repertoire Léa also has a special interest in more exotic genres. Especially the music from latin-america as well as improvisation in jazz and Salsa are an important way to express herself. So she tries to present the bassoon in unconventional settings in order to spread her fascination. It is especially this versatility and openness, which are based on a deep love for music and its emotionality, that she wants to convey to her students or to her audience.
